Tudor, one of Ride in Bliss drivers

If you could pick any famous person, living or dead, to ride shotgun with you for a day, who would it be and why?

Brian Johnson of AC/DC because he would have a lot of fun stories!

What's your favorite music or playlist to listen to while driving? Any guilty pleasure songs?

Classic Rock is my favorite and I have so many guilty pleasure songs that you would have to ride with me to find out!

Do you have any secret talents or party tricks you've perfected during your time on the road?

Sorry, no tricks, unless taking your jacket or coat off while driving counts as one.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be, and how would you use it to improve your passengers' rides?

Superman! So I can get customers to their destinations faster!

Share a funny or memorable nickname you've given your car and why it suits it perfectly.

Black Betty, for some reason, all of my cars had that name because they're always black and because I think cars should have female names.

If you could swap jobs with any other profession for a day, what would you choose and why?

Photographer. I enjoy the freedom and nature. Luckily, I can take all kinds of pictures while driving everywhere at work!

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received from a passenger?

Invest in real estate.

What's the most creative or unusual tip you've ever received from a passenger?

50 Euros

What's one thing you wish more people knew about working as a professional driver?

Timing is everything; waiting is our worst nightmare, next to traffic.

Can you share one of your most memorable experiences on the road?

Driving through storms is always crazy, but once I had a family in the car and the sky started electrifying with a lightning storm. All the clouds got darker, and we could see the wind picking up. When we got close to the airport, cars were stopping under bridges, stopping traffic behind them, and then the hail started. The children were getting scared, but we stayed calm, and then the hail stopped. We got to the airport just fine, but I will never forget that experience.

What's one place in the city you believe every visitor should see, and why?

The Architectural Tour on the Chicago River is one of the best recommendations I can make for a visitor. It's a nice, easy boat ride, and you will learn about the city's architectural history. Customers always talk about how much they liked it, which is always my number one recommendation.

What's the most valuable lesson you've learned while on the road as a driver?

Always use your mirrors.

In your opinion, what makes Ride in Bliss stand out from other car services?

The attention to detail tailored to every customer is outstanding.

How do you decompress after a long day of driving? Any particular hobbies or activities?

I do a lot of bike riding whenever I can.

What's your favorite part of the job, and why?

Being not in an office means I get to open my window and have different views every day.

Have you ever encountered a situation where you had to act as more than just a driver?

We always go beyond just the driving part. We help with everything a customer needs. I've taken out garbage before, thrown out dirty diapers, and even helped put toys away from the driveway.

What's the most creative oversized item a passenger has tried to fit into your vehicle?

They have to be skis. Those are always the funniest because they are so long.
