Located 10mins drive east of downtown Boston Logan offers the quickest transfer option if the heart of the city is your goal. Tunnels are an essential item around Boston and both routes from Logan to downtown utilize them. If you ask your driver to take I-90 you will pop up on the far side in the Seaport district, travel past the Convention and Exhibition Center, through the leather district and past Chinatown to downtown. Ask your driver to take State road 1a you glide through East Boston and North End, past the Boston Public Market and Bullfinch historic district before arriving downtown.
Located 30-50mins drive northwest of downtown (depending on traffic/construction), Hanscom field caters to business jet and general aviation flight services but limited commercial services and you may occasionally encounter military jets. If you are chartering an aircraft or own one and seek destinations west and northwest of downtown Boston this could be your best bet. 20mins to Harvard University, 25mins to MIT
Located 30-50mins drive north of downtown, Beverly airport caters to Business jets, general aviation and some commercial. Beverly airport gives you quick access to northern suburbs such as Salem and Wakefield along with beachfront communities from Fort Sewall to Winthrop and the Rumney marshes. To the north and northeast are Harold Parker State Forest, Bradley Palmer state park and Manchester-by-the-sea to get you away from it all. Located 25-40mins drive south of downtown (depending on traffic/construction); Norwood caters to private charter, business jet and general aviation flight operations but no commercial at this time.
